The three moons were up in the indigo sky with hints of what looked like the North Lights playing across the sky but in shades of pink, red, purples. There were sounds of snow and ice shifting in the dead of the night. The tempatures were well below negtive ten. Everything looked like it was frozen in time but then flashed freezed before being left for almost a hundred years to be covered, coated in ice and snow.
The only thing out of place.. was an old cabin. The building was big enough for two families. Besides the old cabin was a huge stack of wood for burining. They was a tank that was heated to melt snow for water and another tank to recycle gray water. The snow and ice and started to claim back the buildings but very slowly.
Everything was erie and felt like it was a haunted ghost town. What people didn't know was that below all these layers of snow and ice.. about eighty feet below was a whole city was there. People frozen in place as they gone through out there day. Families sitting at the table eating, people moving through the streets and so on. But it was long gone and forgot about.
This whole planet had been left and forgot about. However just for one, he knew it was still here. The cabin was his and no he returned home. But it was in mere attempt to escape, he was tired.. wounded and just wanted to be alone. He knew this would be the one place where he could get that. Blood dripped down from his fingers on his left hand, freezing before it even hit the ground. He had reopened the wound in his shoulder but his face bruised and lip slit open.
He limped slowly to the door and opened it before moving to turn the head on before he allowed himself to collaspe on the sofa.

Hadley didn’t know how long she had been running. When you are trying to outrun the people you’ve been running from for years, everything kind of blends together into one moment in time. That was also true when a certain person wielded a vortex manipulator. Then again, she really didn’t wake up this morning to think that she was going to be caught by the government agency that had ruined her life. It was supposed to be a simple job. Well, the job was simple. But apparently it was a set up. The agents had been waiting for her as soon as she tried to leave the building.
Hadley was quick to leave, but apparently not quick enough. She had that one moment, the moment frozen in fear, and she had gotten shot in the lower abdomen. She had managed to pry the bullet out at least before using her wrist strap to teleport her somewhere else. Addy kind of just pushed in numbers, a place she knew that no one would look to find her. A frozen planet with no inhabitants. The orange light seemed to protrude through the ice as she slightly stumbled out. She was slowing down, and that wasn’t good.
It was cold, a bit too cold for her tastes, but it didn’t matter. A quick look around, and besides a cabin that looked completely empty, there was nothing in sight but ice and snow. Catching her breath, she slightly winced at the pain in her side. Hadley quickly lifted up her shirt, and she saw that the wound that she had gotten earlier hadn’t shut yet. “Shit…” She mumbled, with a groan. The bullet must have been laced with poison. Of course it was, they weren’t stupid. Sure, it wouldn’t kill her, unless she didn’t treat it, but it slowed down her healing process and made her sick. Hadley swallowed hard, and looked at the cabin. Looks like she would have to hang out there until the initial sickness went away. Thank god, she carried around the first aid kit with her during her jobs.
Her hand placed pressure on the wound, before Hadley slowly made her way to the door, opening it before feeling that it was slightly warmer in her than it should have. Meaning someone else was residing there. She stayed quiet even though her mind groaned. She didn’t want to have another confrontation in this state, her face already showed the signs of weakness. Hadley slowly reached for the gun, before moving to the living room, her eyes peering around until she saw the hump on the sofa. Pointing her gun at it, she almost completely dropped it in shock when she saw who it was. “What the hell…. you??”

Ranger was older than he let on, older than he looked. When this planet died, he was only twenty. Having been shipped off to the Time Agency a year before everything froze over. But he never acted or told anyone his age. There was a day he had picked from the 21st century, one that seemed to fit him well and the only holiday there he seemed to enjoy and liked. Which was Halloween. Ranger had lost count how old he was and things like that. He had traveled back in time to the 18th Century, gone forward as far as the 75th Century and everywhere in between. So whatever time line he had been in was long gone and faded away. It was something he never cared about or need to keep track of.
Ranger had got into a bar fight at some bar on Serpira. Defended off all fives guys after the one dude's buddies came to the recuse and got into the fight. It was why he was in the shape he was and add to the fact, he hadn't slept in about six days. So he was more on the edge than normal. The cold didn't bother him though this kind of cold wasn't something he was all that used to so he was a little cold and one of the reasons why he had turned the heat up higher than what he normally would keep it at. Inside the cabin everything had a fine layer of dust on it. If he had been feeling better, he would have started fires in the three fireplaces found around the house. However all he wanted to do was get off his feet.
When he heard the footsteps moving around the place, he had just started to fallen asleep. He could handle whoever it was when they got closer. Right now he just wanted them to think that he was asleep so he just laid there to give him the edge in a few moments. However before he could move, she was right there on top of him. His blue eyes opened when he heard her speak before looking at the gun. "Well... this is my place. And why the hell do I keep running into you?" He said as he sat up slowly. His body shaking some as he stood up and moved away from the sofa.
There had to be a reason why they kept bumping into each other. Sure he enjoyed the other night with her rather much and would like to have a repeat but he wasn't into those too much. "What's up with the blood?" He asked finally having noticed she was wounded when he first moved. He kneeled down by the fireplace and used his good arm to stack some wood into the fireplace before starting the fire. Which gave room some more light and warmer feeling. "So how did you know about this place?"

Frankly, she had no idea that someone had actually lived her. As far as she knew, the planet was a barren wasteland. She had been here a couple of times before when she needed to get out of sticky situations. No one really knew it existed, and if they did, they didn’t come because it was too damn cold. So there was an obvious reason why she was so surprised that there was someone else here, even more so, seeing as it was him.
Hadley had been avoiding Ranger. The night when she had tried to prove him wrong.. well it was too good. Since then she had been confused. Confused on what her feelings were, and she didn’t like it. So she decided to avoid him. Even redid her wrist strap so he couldn’t track her. She didn’t want feelings for him. Especially, since he made it perfectly clear that he did not feel the same. Yet here he was, laying down on the couch of the cabin she was trying to hide in. It kind of made her annoyed.
Putting the gun away, she looked down at him. The only thing she wanted to do was get the hell out of there, but she could already feel the wave of sickness hitting her. A slight tilt of her head when she looked around. “You’re place? What, do you not have a maid or something. This place is covered in dust. Oh, and don’t mention the fact that this has been a barren wasteland for years. Nimbaris were wiped out years ago.”
She might have snapped a bit. But it was showing on her face that she wasn’t at all well. Her skin as a bit paler than normal, her lips were a little blue. She had to rest against the wall so she didn’t fall over as Hadley clutched to the wound. Apparently he noticed the fact that she was wounded. “Was chased by the people who experimented on me.. problem is, they knew my weakness..” She said, not really wanting to go into it. She weakly moved to her wrist strap to punch some different coordinates in. “Don’t worry, just give me a second, and I’ll get out of your hair and you won’t see me again.”

It had surprised him that someone else was here but more that it was here. He had been confused since the first time they ran into each other. He started to have feelings for her and he could do that.. He couldn't risk it. If he were to open his heart up, started to feel and have someone close to him and then to have it stripped away from would kill him. There was no way he could live through losing someone again. So he wouldn't admit or face the fact.. he wanted more her and may have feelings. No, instead he started to push everything aside and tried his best to forget about her. However yet here she was and he started to notice those things come back to him.
Ranger had left Earth after that night and pretty much and spent the time since there getting drunk and causing trouble whenever he could. The pain blocked out everything else. It was his way of dealing with things. Being drunk and in pain, cure for everything. When she started to rant on about him needing a maid and going on about Nimbaris. He had looked away from staring into the fire. "Pretty much a hundred years as a waste land.." He said not looking away from the fire. He could remember the days when there were amazing, lovely buildings and parks. The purple and white skies in the morning and afternoons.. The deep blue and neon blue nights with three moons. Now there was just this.. It made him wonder if he made the right choice in leaving.
Well if she had any brains which he was sure of, she knew what he was. Even if she did have a doubt about it. He was pure blood Nimbari, the last and only one. Ranger moved and tossed a smaller piece of wood into the fire before standing up, making no move to hide how much pain he was in. Right now that pain was the only thing keeping him sane. His eyes looked her over again, noticing how well she wasn't looking. A deep sigh was given as he moved out of the living room, coming back with a box as she continued to talk.
He stood there watching her for a moment before he pointed at the sofa. "Stay, your in no shape to be on your own. Sit down... let me clean that wound and give you something to coutner act the poison." He told her, standing beside the sofa, waiting to see if she would stay or not. Either way, he would treat her even if he had to track her down. And that scared him that he was feeling and thinking like that about her.

Normally, Hadley would have caught on before she had rambled on about the plant. But the fact that she felt like utter shit, kind of hindered her thought processes at the moment. Her eyes trailed the cabin. It looked like it had barely lived in, but the place looked like it could fit a family. It took her a moment, but she finally put two and two together. “So that is why you smelled so weird and I couldn’t place it. You are one of them.. a Nimbari. Right?” She said, her mind wandering away from the fact that she was trying to leave him alone and avoid him.
When he told her to stay, a part of her wanted to. That part of her wanted to move into his arms, and to forget about the fact that she was ill. She knew that he could take care of her. Yet she couldn’t . Hadley wasn’t going to allow herself to be in more pain than she already had. She took a step back again, her back hitting the wall. “No, I can’t.. “ She mumbled, her head lowering. Perhaps it was the fact that she was ill that her head was all fuzzy and logic kind of flew out the window. “I know I sound like a complete idiot, but I have feelings for you and I know that can’t happen. So if I stay here, its just going to be worse. I need to leave..” She replied. Hadley took another step forward to just walk out the door, but she ended up stumbling slightly, and on the ground. She squeezed her eyes shut with a groan. God she hated being vulnerable.

The fact she wasn't rambling on or catching on to things, it was clear how bad off she was. He knew what was normal for her and this wasn't it. Even though he shouldn't be worried, he was and he wanted to kick himself in the rear for it. The tough loner was getting soft and he could have that happened.. but it was anyways. "The one and only.." He said quietly as he looked towards her again, wondering why it mattered so much. Right now, he didn't even feel alive... he just felt like he was there moving through life as if he was just an object with nothing to feel or care about. "Trust me.. if anyone else knew that, it would cause more troubles for me. They shipped me away and I stayed away for along time until I needed a safe place. Whatever you heard about Nimbaris.. none of it is barely true." Ranger knew of all the rumors out there about what the Nimbaris could do. He wasn't magical or anything like that.
He could tell she was having trouble making up her mind on staying which meant he would have to track her down which was the last thing he wanted to do. For once, he just wanted to lay down with a bottle of hyper vodka and drink himself to the passing out point. When she said, she was starting to having feelings for him. He raised a brow as he glanced back her, studying for a moment before giving a smirk. "That's why you left the other night.. It was too good for you and now you want to have more but can't bring yourself to let you have those feelings or thoughts." There was a playful grin across his lips. Sure he felt the same way and had no room to talk but he couldn't help himself at the moment. "well.. your no idiot and your not the only one confused by all of this. He admitted to her.
There was deep sigh when he noticed her trying to leave before falling down to the ground. He walked over and kneeled down carefully, wincing a little. He sat the box down on the ground and opened it. He pulled out a needled and made a move to inject what was in it, into her thigh. "This will take care of the sickness your feeling... its going to counter that poison in your system... After this you will start to feel better. Trust me.. I am rather good with working with poison and using it. Less messy and faster acting then most things." He told her, his eyes were softer as he looked and talked to her.

So Ranger was a Nimbari. No wonder why Hadley had such a hard time trying to figure out what he was. The race should have been extinct, but here he was… the last one. Hadley could kind of relate, but not to the sheer scale that he was. She was the one and only female super soldier. They had gotten rid of the experiments on females after they deemed it a complete failure, and refused to try again. I’m sure if people could figure out what she could do, she would be subject to experimentation again. Something she did not want. So that was why she knew how he felt about being the only one. “I really don’t know a lot about your race, just a few details and rumors here and there..” She tried to point out as he spoke about anyone knowing. She weakly shook her head. “I steal and trade objects, not people. Besides who am I going to tell.. my dog?” She questioned, looking at him. It was her way of saying that his secret was safe with her.
When he begun to get cocky about what she had admitted to, Hadley got very irritated with it. Here she was admitting to something she was very uncomfortable about, and he was being a complete ass about it. A part of her wanted to find a nice sharp object and see how many cuts she could make into his body. “Yeah, that’s completely right. I totally want to have sex with you now, with me bleeding out on your floor and all.” She said, rolling her eyes, trying to hide the small hurt behind them. She knew that he couldn’t possibly feel the same way, but a small part hoped that he would. That she could be with someone that understood. To have someone to help her. Cause for her whole life she had been completely and utterly alone.
Hadley had been staring at the floor by the time he had made it to her. He had set a box down and the next thing she knew , a sharp object was stuck into her thigh. She growled, looking at him. “Hey watch it!” She grumbled before drawing in a small breath and shifting herself so she was sitting, her back propped up against the wall. He was speaking about poisons, and she looked at the ground. “How long did it take you to figure out it was poison? They use it on us because its our only weakness. Slows down the healing process, and makes me weak and sick. I’ll be fine though. Usually am, this isn’t the first time.” She said, biting her lip. She didn’t want to relive what had happened to her again in her mind. So she quickly pushed those memories away. Instead she focused on changing the subject. “What do you mean, that you were confused?”

Who and what he was, was something he would take to the grave with him and yet here he was spilling it out to her as if it was nothing. Ranger felt like he couldn't help himself anymore around her. He was never ever this open with anyone and yet with her it was different. Ranger knew all about be tossing aside because someone wasn't pleased with you or having them trying to force you to change. In a way, he was kind of glad his race was long gone and so were their stubborn ways. Because if he had returned to this planet when it wasn't frozen and everyone was still around he would have been killed. "Kind of hard to know what happened or about a race when they were quickly buried under a huge amount of ice. They quickly wiped out the planet from all maps and such because they were afraid of things spreading to other planets.. And then they quickly rounded up any Nimbari they could and ran test on them. After a hundred years... those not on the planet were dead and gone." Ranger began to wonder if she would try and figure out his age next or not. It wasn't something he knew himself after all the time traveling he had done and jumping around. "People tend to share a lot with their pets. Some more than others."
Ranger couldn't help but be cocky, it was like a self defense for him. A way of keeping people at bay and making sure they wouldn't feel anything for him. Yet it didn't work with her but he couldn't help it. "Blood is just blood.. Doesn't bother me at all. Besides, neither of us are in shape for that." There he went again, admitting something to her that he normally wouldn't. However, he found that there was some hurt in her eyes as he stood there looking at her. Something else strange was a part of him felt bad. "Look... I'm sorry. I can't help the way I am." He shrugged his good shoulder before looking away. She had no idea of how he felt and what he found himself wondering about these days and if she did.. well lets just say he didn't want to find out about it.
After he injected the needle into her thigh, his eyes quickly looked back at her when she growled at him which brought a grin out of him. "Only trying to help." Ranger stuck his tongue out for a second before tossing the needled into a empty can not far from where they were. He pulled out some stuff to clean the wound and poured it on to the open area knowing it would help her to heal a little fast too. When she asked how he knew, there was another shrug of his good shoulder. Having avoid using his left arm at all during this. "Put things together.. You were not healing.. looked sick and you just pretty much collapsed on my floor." He shifted a little before standing up. He froze though when she asked him about him being confused. His eyes looked down at her and a deep breath was taken.
"I don't know what is going on with us.. We keep running into each other.. Your feeling stuff for me.. I think I am.. At least I find myself trying to be nice to you.. Look you should stay the night here just in case and besides the weather is about to get really bad here soon." He reached down, offering her his good hand.

were gone, that he was more bothered if someone found out that there was still one in existence. Yet, the way that spoke about it, kind of made her wonder exactly how old he was. With the wrist strap, one really got lost in time, and things like birthdays didn’t really matter anymore. Hadley had a birthday. She chose it herself. Fact is, she really didn’t know how old she was either. She looked twenty-five, so when people asked her, that is what she told them. Didn’t matter anyway. Birthdays are more fun when they are celebrated with other people. Hadley had her dog. It wasn’t very much of a birthday party.
“They caught me off guard. The job I was doing was set up by them. Managed to get out of there with one bullet in my side is a miracle..” She mumbled, wiping the blood that had stained her hands on her pants. She understood how he knew that it was a poison bullet, but when he said that neither of them were good enough shape, a frown appeared on her face. “You’re hurt again?” Hadley questioned, noticing the fact that he wasn’t using his left arm. When he stood up, so did she, very slowly though. Even though she was somewhat feeling better, the room didn’t exactly stop spinning yet. Without another word, she moved her hand to his arm, pushing aside the fabric there to see the wound there, the one she had tried to repair earlier was bleeding freely. She let go and took a step back, moving her hand to her wrist strap again.
It made her all the more confused when he had asked her to stay. She looked distraught, her eyes lingering on her wrist strap before looking at him. “I can’t.” Hadley started. “If I do, I know I will have feelings for you. I’m sorry but I can’t. Because when I look into your eyes, I can’t bear to see them hurt. I don’t want to see you get hurt because of me.” She tried to explain. So much for not telling him about how she felt..

When you killed hundred...thousand, did it even matter how many had died at his hands? One tended to draw a lot of attention and become wanted by many. That was bad enough but when one were to add into the fact he was the last of a race that was thought to be long dead it would make things more heated and the reward for him even more. Sure he wouldn't mind seeing the price on his head go up, he enjoyed seeing how much someone was willing to pay for him. The heat wasn't something he wanted. It was hard enough to find a place where someone wouldn't try to kill or hunt him down. As for his age, Nimbaris were known to live for over a hundred years but with Ranger.. he ran into something that changed him slightly. He found himself younger one day.. he wasn't sure when but it happened. But age wasn't something that he cared about it was just silly little number.
"Have to love those traps.." He said with a deep sigh. Ranger had been set up a few times himself so he knew what it was like to escape and such. It was one of the reasons, he basically does what he wants these days with no one there by his side or relaying on others there. Everything he needed to do in order to find or look into something, he would do on his own. There was no trust left in his life but yet here he was trusting this young lady who just came into his life. "Bar fight, haven't slept in days nor ate.. Nothing out of the normal.. I will be okay." He gave a slight smile. Smiles were something he didn't hand out often or even a full smile. Ranger tensed up when she moved to check out the wound. His eyes looking at the fire again, allowing her to do whatever she wanted. When he felt her withdraw, he looked back at her.
His eyes almost plending her to stay when he noticed she had moved to her wrist strap. Ranger swallowed hard when he heard her say she couldn't stay. As he heard the rest of it, he shook his head a little. "You won't hurt me... never could. Sure you might kick my butt in a fight sometime but I wouldn't mind that or be hurt about it because it will mean, I have to get you back for it. Please stay.. with them after you, you won't have a safe place to stay until you recovered... I can go get your dog. But you need to recover and this is as safe as it gets." He said, hoping she would change her mind. For the moment, he didn't want to be alone or want to see her in more trouble and that wasn't something he could explain and was scared that he was talking and offering to her like this.

How many people she had killed, wasn’t exactly a tally that she had kept. Things kind of blurred together when she killed, and it wasn’t some traumatic experience either that made her remember every single detail. It was just apart of who she was. Hadley couldn’t control her urges. The closest she ever got to being nice was not killing because she wasn’t on a job. Usually when she had something to do, anyone or anything that got in her way was destroyed. Addy didn’t she could ever change. Yet here she stood next to someone that had done the same, someone she should see as an enemy, and she felt something her heart had never felt before. She had emotions that she didn’t even know she had. She liked Ranger.
“Bar fight? Sounds more like my style of craziness.” She commented with a small smile. A part of her felt bad for him. He was hurt, and he looked as if he hasn’t slept in ages. Hadley wondered why it was so hard for him to find peace in his sleep. He was probably plagued with the same stuff that was haunting him even if he was awake. Something had happened to him and broken him so greatly, that he welcomed the idea of death. Sure, Hadley had nothing to live for, but that was the thing, she enjoyed living. Not once did she ever think of the concept of death. Perhaps because she saw herself more invincible than anything. Besides the fact that she had been shot by a poison-laced bullet.
Hadley studied him a moment when he objected to her leaving. She figured that he would want her to leave. If he was just as confused as she was, wouldn’t he just want to cast her out and once again travel solo? Yet there he was, his eyes told a different story. His eyes begged her to stay, and she could feel herself giving in. She drew in a small sigh, her hand moving to close the wrist strap. “The neighbor takes care of him while I am away on jobs.” She said, her eyes moving to the cabin. “Fine I’ll stay, but only till I recover, and can we do something with the dust, it’s killing my nose.” Hadley added, her words might of sounded a bit harsh, but her face said differently. There was a small tired smile on her face and her eyes seemed to light up at the prospect. Okay, so she really was never good at playing hard to get.

Ranger no long kept track of anything, what point was there? Well besides weapons, he was always looking for the next best thing yet he carried a simple sword from China that was close to two thousands years old. His guns were from the 51st century and the rest of his weapons were a mixture from different times and things he had come up with. Those where all that matter to him but the priceless thing to him was the photos of his wife and son he had kept safe. It was all he had left of them. Killing was something he could control and only did it as last means or if he had been pushed beyond the limit. Sometimes he swore, he could still see blood on his hands at times. There was a small chance that he could change but it was more likely that hell would freeze over first. But that didn't stop the old Ranger from showing up here and there.
"Needed to feel pain.." He said very quietly hoping she wouldn't hear him.. then again why did he care? Ranger just needed to feel that pain again to remind him that he was still living and something to take his mind of things. Sleep wasn't something he welcome at all, he would do whatever it took to avoid it until he couldn't anymore. Things he done, what happened to him haunted him all the time. It had got to the point where he welcomed death, would do anything for it. Because he felt there was nothing left. However he knew the story was different with Hadley, everything about her cried that she wanted and needed to live and enjoy herself. That she would do whatever it took to stay alive.
Ranger knew that his soft side was out and he was being almost like himself and he knew she had seen it. That one day all of this was going to come back to bite him in the rear and there wasn't much he could do about it. He just hoped that she wouldn't ride him too hard about it. This wasn't something he could control all that much or let it happen. Ranger gave a nod of his head when she spoke about the dog. His eyes looked around the room and gave a shrug of shoulders when she spoke about the dust. Ranger turned away from her for a moment and hit a bit on the wall and with a faint flash of green light the room was clean, the whole house was dust free. "Better? There is a spare bedroom upstairs... If its not warm enough in here, just let me know." He told her, not really sure what else to do at this point. Ranger was slightly scared of what could happen next. He leaned back against the wall, needing the support of it at the moment.

What he said caused her to stop dead in her tracks. She understood the fact that he was still haunted by something, something she thought that she knew but wasn’t positive on it. He needed to feel pain. She frowned, looking uncomfortably down at the floor. “Look, I cannot even begin to fathom what you have been through, nor know where any of this is going but..” She trailed off. What could Hadley say to him to even get him to feel better? She really didn’t know. Taking a small step towards him, she placed her hand on his uninjured shoulder. Her eyes looked up at him, searching them for something. “I understand.” She simply said at last.
Hadley slowly, trying not to hurt the either of them, wrapped her arms around Ranger in a soft hug, her chin resting against his shoulder. “I don’t want to replace memories, the ones that make you want to feel pain, to feel death. I just hope maybe.. maybe if you tolerate me long enough, that it will be enough to give you a sense of peace, to be able to rest..” She honestly didn’t know where this nice stuff was coming from. She wanted to gag, and bang her head a few times to knock some sense into her. But this is was Ranger was doing to her. She felt herself soften around him, felt herself falling for him. No, that cannot be. She had to remind herself. So with that, she withdrew from the hug.
The concern about the dust was frankly because she wanted to defend herself again. She was opening up to him, and she didn’t like it. So the comment was a way for Hadley to snap back into reality. Ranger moved and hit a button and automatically the room was clean and good as new. Her eyes looked around, her fingers lightly grazing against one of the shelves. “Not bad, need to get a button like that for my flat..” She commented, but instead of feeling better, she felt even more awkward. He spoke of a spare bedroom, and then all remained silent. So instead of answering, she kind of just stood there, looking at him. Hadley couldn’t breathe, her mind was racing, but there she was frozen to the ground. So much for acting cool.

Ranger gave a slight tilt of his head when he felt Hadley just stop and he wasn't sure if it was something he said or not. A part of him knew that she understood and knew what he was going through on some level but this was different but whatever it was had her feeling uncomfortable. When she started to speak, his eyes looked up at her listening to her ever word. Knowing if he told her what happened, what haunted him the most that it would break her.. scare her off and that was something he didn't want to happen. When felt the hand on his shoulder, his body relaxed a tiny bit for once instead of tensing up. Ranger had to swallow hard when she said she understood, that hit him harder than it should have.
He stood there, frozen not sure what to do or say at this point. No one had ever left him like this and it confused him greatly.. However the hug caused him to tense up for a moment before he found himself relaxing again. A hand came up and he placed it on the back of her head before trailing it down to her back. Sure he had sex with her, great sex at that but this was different. This was something more tender and caring.. Something he hadn't felt or knew he could have in such a long time. This wasn't something he was expecting from her at all, it was like a slap out of no where. "Well I stuck...." He trailed off knowing it was too cocky to say and would be the wrong thing to say. He paused for a moment, trying to think of something else to say. "I think you maybe needing the one who has to tolerate me. But if you want to stay around then I would like that." He said, not really sure it was wise. However, at this moment.. he found himself neededing and wanting this.
For the first time in a long while, a yawn escaped his mouth. Ranger wasn't sure where this was coming from her or even that she had this in her. Hadley had seem so much like him that it scared him a bit.. but this was different. A side to her that he found himself wanting to see and learn more about. When she moved away from the hug, he looked down at the ground with a faint sight/ Ranger shifted slightly against the wall, closing his eyes just for a second before focing them open. "Would need to travel forward in time and get a system like this.. Makes cleaning easy." After a moment when he felt like he wasn't going to pass out or collaspe, he made his way over to Hadley and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Your mind is racing... I'm here if you want to talk. If not I can get us something to drink.." He suggest knowing it wasn't wise for either them to be drinking in this state.. but it was all he could think of at the moment.
