The night was typical, like it should have been. The air was crisp and a bit chilled, the soft patter of raindrops lightly grazed against the black tops of the street. The sky was cloudy, and provided no illumination to the earth below, beckoning the street lamps to wash over the scenery with an eerie yellow glow instead. Things seemed to go rather in slow motion, as the couples and small groups hustled underneath their black umbrellas to their destinations. It was a weekend night, a perfect time to go out with a loved one to a dinner and a picture, or to the bar for those who had lacked a significant other. Regardless of the rain, people clambered up and down the streets on that early evening because they wanted to get out of the mundane routine of home and work and just do something. Hadley, however, was always subjected to be out of the norm.
Unlike the others who huddled under awnings, shelters, and umbrellas to keep dry from the light drizzle, she was out in the open, with nothing stopping her from being in contact with the wetness. There was no point to it. She had rather liked the feel of rain hitting her skin, and it wasn’t like she was going to catch a cold. Super Soldiers didn’t get sick unless poisoned. This night wasn’t just one of her nightly walks where she enjoyed the fresh air, and the curiosity of the people that had also dwelled in the city. No, she had a job to do. She really didn’t have work days, a set nine to five schedule. Clients come to her when they want something done, and believe me, she always comes through in the end. This job was just like the others. Find the target, dispose of the target, and get the piece of technology. This one in particular was a man by the name of Samuel Reece, whom was in possession of a computer chip with encrypted files of technological weaponry. This job was a bit more in pay, thus why she took it.
After researching the target, she had come to find that he was taking a short cut through the park to get to a rather expensive restaurant to make a deal with the technology. An appointment he will not be making. It was his own stupidity to go into the park at night. It made it all the more easier for her. Less people, meant she wouldn’t be noticed, be found out by anyone else. Hadley continued to walk, her hands stuffed in the pockets of her dark washed jeans. There was no need for weapons, she was the weapon. All she needed was concentration, to not be distracted by anything or anyone else so she could get this done in time before the bar closed. Walking across the street, Hadley entered the park, her eyes glued to her Target. She followed him, as her mind kept begging, don’t let anyone mess this up. Yeah, cause in Cardiff nothing weird ever happens..

The night seemed like another typical night in Cardiff, at least weather wise. The chilly air, the light rain. The quietness that seemed to settle on to the city when it rained. However unlike everyone else, one man wasn't afraid to be out in the rain. The man was wearing a dress shirt with the first few buttons undone and a vest over it. Black slacks and a pair of shoes finished off what he was wearing. A bookbag strap was slung over his one shoulder and his hand was wrapped around it, inside was just some papers and a book that he wrote in. David, didn't own anything that was worth anything well maybe his watch but he wasn't sure about that even.
He made his way through the park, moving to sit down on a bench under a shelter which kept it dry. David brought the bag down to site on the bench beside him and pulled out a sandwhich and a bottle of water. It was the first and only chance he had to eat dinner finally. The night had been busy, he got lost in grading papers and getting things ready for tomorrow. Normally, he would have gone straight home and got ready for bed. But tonight he wanted something different and some fresh air. His mind was still thinking about Owen and trying to figure out what was going on there. Sure he found the man a little handsome but he really wasn't his type. And the fact, David couldn't remember if he had been with anyone before.
David unwrapped the sandwich and took a bite. It was a simple ham, cheese and ketchup. Nothing speical about it. This was all he pretty much ate, nothing huge or all that big. Something simple and small along the way. Like this afternoon, he just had some noodles to eat with bread to soak up the broth. Even though he thought, he wasn't something special the truth was he was one of the few Time Lords around. Those memories and who he was trapped in the watch he carried around with him. As he sat there eating his sandwhich, his eyes caught two people in the park and was surprise to see them. Not many would brave being out in this kind of weather long. He took a drink of his water before looking away from them.
