Personality: Gray has a strong sadistic personality. He is cold and feels mostly only red spectrum emotions like hate, rage and lust. His conscience is skewed and virtually nonexistent. He feels that all his actions are justified no matter what they might be. He holds on to grudges and is single minded in his desire for vengeance.
He is very jealous and resentful of his older brother, who he also blames for the tortures he endured when he was abducted as a young child. Mercy is not a word he ever learned.
He holds so much rage and angry in his heart over the things that happened to him in his life, especially as a child, that it can sometimes overwhelm his. Having spent a great deal of his formative years in the clutches of a violent, remorseless and unfeeling alien species Gray's emotional growth was stunted and altered. Bent and broken, perhaps completely beyond repair Gray has become a sociopath with no real concept of right and wrong as it applies to himself.
He is also incredibly intelligent, mechanically inclined and skilled in survival and gorilla style combat.

History: Born on the Boeshane Penisula in the 51st century of the planet Earth, Gray is the younger brother of Captain Jack Harkness. The two have a 5 year linear age difference. Like his older brother he had a relatively normal childhood with two well functioning parents. When they were still young boys their home was attacked by evil alien beings. During the attack, Gray was taken by the aliens after Jack let go of his hand and lost him in the chaos of the fleeing population.
Gray was then kept for an indeterminate amount of time, measured in years, by these aliens. He was held and tortured as a means of entertainment and delight for his captors. Growing into manhood in this manner caused Gray to become the mentally unstable person that he is today and lead to the overwhelming certainty that everything that happened to him was Jack's fault. This idea gave birth to Gray's desire for revenge on his brother.
About 2 years ago Gray was found and rescued by Captain John Hart. Upon learning of John's connection to his brother he used the Rogue Time Agent to plot his revenge. Using the man's own vortex manipulator as a weapon, locking it into the very flesh of John's arm and threatening to detonate it, he force John to locate, gather intel on and then, eventually retrieve Jack.
After setting off several bombs in Cardiff in order to keep Jack's team busy, John took Jack back in time to Cardiff in AD 27. There Gray revealed himself to Jack and stabed him in the heart. Upon Jack's return to life, Gray informs him that everything (his torture, his hate, and what has and will happen to his friends) is all Jack's fault and buried him alive as punishment.
Using the manipulator he took from Jack, Gray travels back to present day Cardiff and the Torchwood base where he reaks havoc by releasing the weevils, triggering a nuclear explosion and mortally wounding Toshiko Sato.
It is while taunting the dying Toshiko that Gray hears a noise of the Torchwood vaults and goes to investigate. There he finds that Jack has somehow managed to have himself frozen and placed in wait for this moment. Jack tells Gray that he forgives him and asks for Gray to do the same for him. When Gray refuses to do so Jack is forced to chloroform his younger brother. After dealing with the mess Gray had made, Jack placed Gray inside a cryogenic chamber, locking the body in the vault.
Random Facts:
RP Sample: He hadn't even noticed at first, he had been busy looking around, taking everything in. This new world was so full of people. So busy, everyone rushing around for no apparent reason that he could see. They weren't being chased. They weren't being attacked. There was no imminent threat looming over them. They were safe, secure and happy in their little pointless existences. Yet they still rushed around like worker ants holding up the hive.
He hadn't even noticed until the girl's voice had invaded his thoughts and her slightly panicked face swam back into focus before his eyes. As he watched her lips move and began to focus on the words leaving them he could feel the slight uncomfort of searing heat as it soaked through his pants. He looked down at the dark mark that was slowly creeping outward over his crotch and smiled, trying to imagine what it would look like as a stain against the yellow-brown of his pants.
When he looked up again she was reaching for napkins and still spilling words from her lips. It was worse than the liquid she'd spilled from her cup and it was hurting his ears. He cocked his head to the side slightly watching her body for a moment before reaching out and taking her fragile white neck in his hand and snapping it with a jerk of his wrist.
As he casually walked away he wondered how long it would take one of those busy little ants to notice the dead body sprawled out over the small metal table.
