Things were finally settling down at his new job and he was sure this is where he was suppose to be. Sure Torchwood had it dangers but so did his old job. However this job give him one thing his old job didn't a chance to find out his past and figure out what was going on with him. Since he woke up from the coma, he only been given pieces of his past. The more he tried the remember, the more it felt like it was slipping away. He truly didn't know anything that happen up to his coma. Sure the doctors had tried ot show him parts of what they learned about him but none of it felt right to him.
So he felt like he was a lost soul in this world, hoping one day things would come back to him. Though that night he ran into Torchwood and found himself injuried while trying to save a lady from that creature. He noticed that his wounds were all healed within just a hour and his broken ribs were healed almost a day later. It left him puzzled and wondering what he was. The blood test at Torchwood, showed that his DNA wasn't that of a normal human but of something else. He didn't tell anyone and deleted the results out of fear of being locked up or worse.
And tonight, here he was on his lastest outing. Something had come through the rift about twenty minutes ago. He was stuck alone searching the alley while John and the others had split up. His eyes glance up at the night sky as a flash of lighting lit things up followed by a clash of thunder. His jeans, black shirt and fleece jacket were already soaked from the rain. A hand was brought up and he ran it through his hair before shaking out of some the rain. It was pointless but it kept him from looking like a dork with flat hair.
With his gun drawn and the attached flashlight still off, he moved around the corner. He wasn't even sure what they were looking for, Jack just said to keep their eyes open for something that was out of place. Within seconds there was a crashing sound behind him and he quickly turned around, his gun pointing at where the sound came from. However it was just a stray cat looking for a dry place to stay. He shook his head before moving towards a old building that had the windows broken out and the door smashed in, it was clear a safe place for the homeless. So far the com links have been quite, no word on anyone finding anything yet. "Going to check out this building." He said quietly before moving into the building.
The sound of leaky roof rang through the silence. It was dryer than outside but not any warmer. A chill ran through his body as a breeze moved through the open building. His ice blue eyes looking around, not seeing much in the dim light. It clear there were a few homeless people that had been staying here as he made his way through the building but something had scared them off it seemed. Everything they owned was still there in their makeshift homes. Daniel was feeling uneasy at the moment and hated the feeling of a gun in his hand. He rather not use the thing but he didn't have much choice in the matter.
