After the past two days, today was quiet and with not much happening. It seemed like the perfect day for everyone to catch up and try to get things back in order after the craziness that had taken place those last two days. As for Daniel, he was ordered to take it easy and take care of himself by one Captain Jack Harkness, their leader. Jack wasn't too happy when he found out Daniel had spent the previous night doing the autopsy on the alien instead of resting then going out in the field yesterday.
It was hard for Daniel to lay around and not do anything. He was the kind of guy who needed to be moving, needing to do something. Daniel wounds were still healing unlike before though. So it had him thinking that either there was something in the poison that affected him or it was the antidote that was slowing his body down. Not that he cared, it meant he didn't have to worry so much about someone figuring out that healed faster well besides Ianto. Who he trusted with his secret.
Though he was no longer feeling all that weak, just still a bit sick to his stomach. So he had gone out for fresh air while everyone else was handing all the paper work and such from the past two days which felt like one big long day that just ended. All the rift activity and then the creature kept they running around. Daniel told the team, he was going to pick lunch up for them. It was the least he could do and it would give himself to do without getting looks from Ianto or Jack.
It was about an hour later when he walked back into the Hub. A couple of brown bags in his hands of Chinese food. For the soups, he had gone with Egg Drop Soup and Wonton Soup. The Appetizers were Egg and Spring Rolls as well as Crab Rangoon which wasn't really a Chinese dish but something that had become popular in the states. The main dishes were; Chow Mein, General Tsao's Chicken, Fried Rice, Ginger Beef, Dry Garlic Spareribs, and Lo Mein. A little something of everything for everyone. Then of course fortune cookies and fried dough balls for desserts.
Lunch was spent talking about the increase activity at the Hub but as well as feeling the empty spots. Jack had some people he was looking into hiring and wanted to see what the team thought about it. They also goofed off and had a good time between things. They also talked about what Jack had noticed a few days ago with the energy signature.
After lunch, everyone seemed to spread out and went back to working on things. Daniel not having much to do moved away from the sofa unable to lay around anymore and needing something to do. Unable to find Ianto and not wanting to bug Jack, he went in search of Gwen to see if she needed help with something.

Gwen walked down the steps with her iPod turned on. She had just finished doing an inventory of the armoury. The egg drop soup that Daniel had provided for them was sitting in her stomach, giving her a lovely full and warm feeling. She normally didn’t like that type of soup but Jack had gotten to the last container of wonton soup before she did. Plus, and she wasn’t sure how, Daniel knew how to find the one Chinese place that everyone liked, a feat even Ianto hadn’t figured out yet. Gwen smiled to herself at the idea of Ianto secretly scheming to overtake Daniel in this one area. Her grin got even bigger when she thought about just how they seemed to take their shows of dominance out on each other. Kinky lass, Gwen thought to herself.
She turned the corner and skirted around the water tower. She stopped by her desk, checked on a few programs running on her computer and put the key to the armoury in her desk drawer. She turned around to face the couch to see that it was empty but looked like it had been sat on very recently. She looked up and around. There was nobody near the entrance. Jack was somewhere but not on that level. She looked the other direction and noticed Daniel’s retreating back walking away from her at a leisurely pace. He looked like he had nowhere to be with nothing to do.
Gwen felt a twang of pity for the man. She knew he was much like Jack, restless and in need of something to do all the time. However, while most of the rest of the team was perfectly ok with the idea of a day or two to catch up or relax, the order did not sit well with Daniel, as far as Gwen could tell. He was bored. She walked quickly to catch up.
“Daniel! Wait for me.” She caught up with him and started walking in step with his slow yet long strides. “How are you, love? I have a few minutes to kill, wanna talk?”

The Chinese place was a random guess, he was still learning what everyone on the team liked. Also he figured Chinese was better than pizza again. He swore that most of the time, the team lived off pizza. Normally he would chow down on General Tso Chicken, rice and veggies but tonight he just picked at the food. Even though he was telling everyone he was fine, he was still feeling a bit sick to his stomach. Though he ate enough to make sure no one would think twice about it. Having people worried about him, never sit right with him and he tried to keep people from worrying about him.
Even though he was sure everyone knew about him, Jack and Ianto he tried to keep it on the down low and give the other two their space and plenty of room when they were at work but also sometimes in the evening. Working closely with everyone wasn't something he had a problem with at his old job, he had a partner beside him for up to twenty four hours sometimes. It took him a little bit of time to adjust to how they worked in groups here or sometimes even on their own. Daniel was thankful that most times the downtime here wasn't all that often or all that much. It kept him busy which he liked. Though he never said for the reasons why, how that he hated sitting around and then would end up trying to figure out more of his past. Even though he had everything in the files from the military and then his medic career. That is all seemed off to him and read like it was wrote out to be a story.
The one thing he had come to love about this job lately was the song and dance of Jack, Ianto and him. More often than not, he was picking or trying to out do Ianto in the areas he could. It was his way of having fun with Ianto and messing with him. The battle of dominance between the two of them was more out of fun than anything. Though he wouldn't say how he loved when Ianto took control over him. That was one part no one needed to know about. Daniel had rested on the sofa for a while before Gwen had moved over to that area, little did he know that she was behind him until she spoke up. He turned slowly being careful of his ribs when he heard his name and he stopped walking for a moment.
When Gwen had caught up to him, he gave a soft smile. "Trying to keep busy but being busted up, Jack is being over protective and making sure that I am not doing too much. You know how it is with him.. Next time, I will make sure to get triple the amount of that soup, didn't expect Jack to eat it all like that. Need any help with anything?" He asked because at this point he would do paperwork without a second thought. Daniel tucked his good hand into his pant pocket, his blue eyes looking over her for a moment. He liked Gwen and thought she was an attractive women but he wouldn't act on those feelings for her.She had become a rather good friend since he first started her, she had been a welcome face when the days were rough back in those days.

“Well, I am on my way to the interrogation room to take down all the pictures and notes from that case we had last week, and to do some general tidying up. Can’t have prisoners wondering about our housekeeping skills now can we? Then, after that I was going to so what I can do about the laboratory, as we seem to have been using it as storage instead. Want to help? I know you can’t lift much, but you can help organise, file and box things. We can do girl talk while we do it, eh?” She resisted the urge to elbow Daniel in the ribs and settled for playfully poking him in the shoulder with her index finger.
Gwen turned and started walking towards the interrogation room and kept talking. “Rhys suggested the other day that we redecorate the flat. He wants warm colours and I am leaning towards dark and gloomy myself. Maybe you can give me some ideas? I am not too fussy.” Gwen stopped midstream, right before descending the stairs. On the walls was a weird goopy substance that looked a bit like hair gel but a weird purple blue colour. She was pretty sure it wasn’t there this morning and that it wasn’t a good thing. But hey what did she know? She would take it up with Jack later, as she knew that ignoring her instincts tended to be a bad idea lately.
Gwen shrugged, made a mental note and looked back towards Daniel to see if he was still with her.
“Silly old place, isn’t it? Never know what you will see day to day.” She said pointing out the goo. “Shall we get on that that cleaning spree?” Gwen gestured down the stairs.

Owen had been trying to visit the old Torchwood mates few days and a few months ago. Since the Doctor closed down Boston. Owen was not sure if he wanted thank the Doctor for it. In a way, Owen felt sick about he was working for that Torchwood. He was terrified what they had did over there. They made Torchwood One look like nothing.
Walking around the hub, Owen was here for a surprise visit again but he could hear Daniel talking to Gwen. Owen wanted to rush in and hug Gwen but he did not want to face Daniel. He really had problens with Daniel. Owen pusheed the anger down. Maybe he could hold his tongue. But if Daniel says the right words and press Owen's hot buttons Owen will throttle the medic.
Leaning up against the wall, "What poor Ianto say about someone doing his job?" Owen said smirking at the two. He had hoped Daniel not going to go off the wall. Owen did not need Gwen go against Owen because Owen needs Gwen. The only person Owen could possibly talk to at Torchwood was Gwen. Tosh he could talk too but Tosh was a pleaser. Tosh and Owen's relationship improve but he had not sure he wanted to proceed with Toshiko. Owen did want some companionship because he had been getting scared shit with the events like the way the Weevil's react to Owen and Daniel has his position. Owen had accepted its a done deal but Owen still had an edge against Daniel.
"PC Gwen," Owen said smirking to her. Owen stood his ground. He really had the urge to go straight to her and hug her. The problem Owen did not trust Daniel.
Looking at Daniel, Owen waited to see what the other man will do. Owen wanted Daniel to make the first move. Owen did not say anything. Owen croessed his arms being cool and ever as Owen could be.
Looking at Gwen, "Gwen sweet heart, let Daniel start ahead," Owen had the look of I really need to talk to you Gwen. Matter of fact, Owen pointed his chest and to Gwen and worded those words by moving his lips. "But if you can't. That's fine. It's not like I exist...or don't I?" Owen had the look like he really meant it. And he could not hold it. He turned around and walked out. He realized he said way to much and looking stupid. He walked out to the elevator, pressed the button and heading Mermaid Quay.
Owen was feeling his world had been tossed up and made no sense. He heard Tosh how she felt but she was happy to be with Owen on it. Owen felt he was misplaced or out step in his life. Things are just weird for him. Yea,Gwen and Owen messed around but Owen could use Gwen but if Gwen does not come and chooe to work with Daniel that is fine. Owen would accept it. One day he let it go.
(You don't have too reply to Owen you guys let him go on by himself)

Getting Daniel to open up about himself or talk in depth about how he was doing was easier said then done. Must of the time, he would either answer 'I am alright, or I'm okay.' The whole, 'I'm okay' was his way of saying, I am not okay without saying it. Though most of time he was alright. Most of the time, he would skip over when people asked him if he wanted to talk. That question would make him shut down now matter way. It's one of the reasons why he didn't say he wanted to talk with Gwen when she had asked it.
The moment the interrogation room was brought up, he gave a slight nod of his head. Cleaning up was better than laying around and kept that idle mind from dwelling on things. "Think you need a room just for holding those photos and various things like that. Other than the interrogation room, just in case we bring someone in during the middle of the case and the room has been redecorated with your lovely touch." He said, teasing Gwen mostly. He didn't mind leanding a hand when someone needed it around here. When it came to Gwen, he was still trying to figure her out. She was one of the few he had not spent too much alone time with. Like most others, he was still skiddish around her at times. It was the whole former life he could not remember or even knew about. "Don't get that many prisoners around here, so I don't think they will say much about how clean the place is."
Daniel said following her as they made their way to the interrogation room. "You know how busted ribs go. Swear even bruised ones make life beyond diffucult. Its like those small cuts that make you wonder how the heck they can hurt so bad for being so small. Going to be another four weeks or so until they heal." Which was a lie, he knew they woudl be healed before then. They were already feeling better but he was acting like he knew he should be. That way he wouldn't give anything away. "I'm the gay friend every girl needs, huh? The one she can do all those girly things with that her husband doesn't want to do?" Daniel was more bisexual than anything but he rather have a guy then girl any night. He was teasing again and had stuck out his tongue after he had finished talking. Then he stood there for a moment when they got closer to the room, listening to her speak but he felt someone else was there watching them.
His thoughts where broken when she had asked him a question. "Maybe go with a netural color? Something that isn't too warm or two dark?" Feeling more like that gay friend by the topic they were on but he didn't mind though. It felt nice to be asked things like this and being treated as a close friend. He wasn't sure where he stood with the people here on the team. Well besides Owen, he knew the other man hated him. "I'm use to it. As a medic, you never knew what was going to be called into the stange. Seen some rather strange stuff but this place takes the cake. I love it though but that goo is something else." He said, looking at the goo for a moment before he noticed the Gwen gesturing towards the stairs.
However before Daniel could make a move, he heard Owen's voice. "Looks Owen, Ianto has become more than an office boy around here. Everyone tends to pitch in with things around the office these days." He said, standing up for Ianto even though he knew he didn't have to. His eyes narrowed a bit, pretty sure everyone on the team knew that these two hated each other's guts. It was mostly because Daniel didn't trust Owen and for the way Owen treated him but also how he was sneaking around his back trying to do something which he didn't know about. He didn't say anything else towards the other man, his hands had formed fist without him knowing it. Daniel toook a deep breath before turning towards Gwen. "I'll take care of the clean up job." He said before walking down the stairs.
Once he was in the room, he slammed his hand into the brick wall, cringing from the pain in his hand which he knew would bruise later. He paced around the room for a moment before taking anotehr deep breath and letting it out slowly. His hand coming up to hold his side as he winced, wishing his ribs would hurry up and heal. Daniel glanced around the room before moving to take things off the wall and cleaning the tape off them. Putting them into neat little stacks and in order the best he could.

Gwen nodded at Daniel. The wall colours discussion was just a way to get him talking. She was no domestic goddess and she knew she would go with whatever Rhys wanted anyway. Daniel never really talked about himself, but she assumed he was right. The goo could wait.
She searched for a pen to write down a note to tell Jack about the it. when she caught Owen out of the corner of her eye. Before she could say anything however, Daniel beat her to the punch. While she was happy that Ianto had someone standing up for him (and she felt guilty for not paying enough attention or talking to him as much as she knew she should) she also frowned at the boys. They did not like each other, but the animosity and waves of dislike, even hatred, radiating from them was not a good sign.
Before she could break it up, though, Daniel had offered to clean up the room and he left her standing there gaping at nothing. Owen had gone and so had Daniel. She heard Daniel hit something in the room that sounds suspiciously like a body part hitting the wall. She grimaced and debated whether or not to enter the room. She walked down the stairs, reached the halfway point thought better of it and walked back up. She turned around and again and walked down the stairs at least two more times before getting the resolve to make it the whole way. She poked her head in and watched Daniel, watching him. She watched as he paced the room and then started taking down the pictures and notes from the boards.
She took a deep breath and said in a very quiet voice, hoping not to startle him, “Daniel? Still care for company?” She hoped that he wouldn’t say no, because something told her that he really should have company for the time being.

Daniel had been thankful that Gwen was there to keep her company and tried to get him to talk. Like the others, she had become a part of this twisted family that was Torchwood. A family he wouldn't trade for anything in the world. His past, his life wasn't something he knew too much about, only what he had come to learn in the past two years. There wasn't much there to talk about even if he did know how to open up and talk about himself. Gwen had always find a way to get him open up and talk even if it was about paint.
The goo bothered him in the back of his mind, he knew the walls shouldn't be doing that. It reminded him of something he seen in a movie... though he stood there for a second trying to remmber what the movie was. Ghostbusters, that was it. He had been flipping through the channels at one point in the past and stumbled across the movie. "Maybe we should call the ghostbusters about the goo. Seems like a ghost kind of thing." He said, trying to be really serious about it even though he was joking around. When it came to Ianto he would stand up for him no matter what the cost would be. The same would go for Jack or Gwen, he didn't care if he had to take a bullet for them, he would do it. Gwen was the only one he had not spent too much time with lately and maybe today was the day for making up for it.
His hand was throbbing after he punched the wall but he ignored it even though his hand was already turning black and blue. He knew in the next few hours or even by morning, it would be back to normal again. His little secret that no one knew about, well besides Ianto. Daniel knew he could trust Ianto with that secret. Owen was another story, one he rather not get into and he had a feeling if Gwen came in, she would make him talk about it. Daniel glanced over his shoulder when he heard her footsteps on the stairs, not saying anything until she spoke first. He leaned against the table for the moment, both of his hands resting on the top. His eyes closed for a second before he looked back at Gwen. "Yeah, sure. What did the rat bastard want?" He asked about Owen. Not knowing that Owen had left, he was sure the other man would blame him for taking Gwen away from him tonight or something like that. It always seemed to be his fault even though he had nothing to do with it.

Gwen nodded. The goo was a problem, which was the only other reason why she brought it up. Besides, she wasn't above mentioning paint for conversation topics, so the goo wouldn't have been mentioned if there wasn't a reason.
“Ghostbusters? Like the film? Well, you never know, knowing Jack he knows them and has shagged a couple of them to boot. Should I just call up 118118 and as for the South Wales branch?” Gwen teased and flashed Daniel a wide smile.
Gwen stepped fully into the room and inspected the man in front of her. She noticed his hand was turning a blue colour and wanted to offer him medical help but wasn’t sure how he would take it. He never seemed to be hurt for very long. Gwen also knew that in Torchwood that was normal in its un-normalness. She narrowed her eyes for a split second and mentally added confronting Daniel about that, right after the goo, to her list.
Gwen glanced behind her when Daniel brought up Owen and ignored the insult. She knew Owen liked her best and treated her most like a human. She took pride in the fact she did her best to do the same. For all of them. Jack said it was why he needed her. But the animosity he engendered and the fact she was placed between him and Daniel without even doing anything was not fair. Daniel needed her now, Owen would have to wait, and not to worry, Owen would be getting a message from Gwen later, whether he wanted to or not.
She turned to face Daniel and said, “oh, he left. I decided to follow you instead, because we were technically still talking and you seemed to be in the most need of being followed. Unless of course you want to be alone, but I don’t really feel comfortable doing that just now.” Gwen hoped she didn’t sound too pitying.

The main thing that he learned while in Torchwood was that nothing was safe or as it seemed. Out of all the thing he had seen, goo coming from the wall was werid but there was no telling if it was dangerous or not. Or even if it belonged to some creature that was lurking around the hub because nothing was that simple or easy. Daniel wanted to take a sample with it soon as this task on hand was finished. He knew that wating a few extra mintues was going to harm anyone notinhg seemed out of place besides the goo sliding down the wall.
"Yeah those guys from the film. I don't know about that one, they really don't seem like his type. Then again I never found them all that good looking myself." Daniel pulled out his cell phone when Gwen said the number but ended up calling up the rejection hotline number and waited to dial the number. "So your the ghostbuster's right, well I have a friend here who wants to talk to you." He sliped in hitting the dial button before holding out the phone to her. "They want you to describe the goo." He said, holding back from laugh or showing any emotions. Only playinh along with Gwen some more, glad for a break like this and it helped him to relax more.
Daniel did what he could to hide and pretend his injuries were still there long after they were not. Though this was the first time, he had been hurt this much at once or that noticable. A hand came up to right side and rested on his ribs for a moment. They were hurting again and he knew that punching the wall didn't help on top of the fact the pain killers were wearing off. He had not idea that Gwen had picked up on something being off with him or that she was planning on confronting him on it. If she had suggested medical help for his hand, he would have shrugged it off and said that he was okay.
Putting Gwen in the spot between him and Owen wasn't something he wanted to do or make it rough on her. He turned around and went back to work, taking down the stuff and hopped that Fwen wouldn't ask what was going on between the two of them because he knew where it woudl lead. "Look Owen has been going after me.. First beating me up in the hub then pulling up my personal files.. I even noticed that my vile blood in storage was missing." He told her, hoping to avoid going into detail about it. "I just don't trust him.." He trailed off, tucking the photos he had taken down into one of the folders before leaning against the table again. Daniel lowered his head a little bit.
It was nice having Gwen there for him as well as others. He learned how good it was having this family of sorts there and having that support he never had before. "Made me sound like a lost puppy. So why don't you feel comfortable leaving me alone? Its not that I want you to leave becuase I rather have you here and someone to spend time with for a bit. I just don't like or trust Owen, not after all he has done."

Gwen took the phone and noticed the number Daniel had typed in. She laughed, more than she had laughed in a while. She glanced back up at Daniel and was so happy that he was willing to joke again. “Nice try, pet. Although it’s lovely seeing you joke again. I missed it.” She handed him back the phone after hanging up.
“Why do I think you shouldn’t be alone? Well, let’s see here, you just tried to put your hand through a wall. I shudder to think what else you would allow yourself to do if you let your emotions get the better of you. Look, Owen has done that to all of us, although maybe not the beating part. I have learned in this place that unfortunately the ends justify the means. I try not to do it, but I have and it has saved us all on different occasions. You should know that. I agree that we shouldn’t allow it to pass, but anger will not get you anywhere, especially when everything comes down to the wire and you have to make a decision you normally won’t.”
Gwen walked over to Daniel and put her hand on his shoulder and took the injured hand with her free one. She turned it over and inspected it, watching the bruises heal in front of her eyes. She looked up at him. She knew that he could heal like Jack, and hoped he knew she knew. She just wasn’t sure how to bring it up.
“Look, I know that this” she gestured to Daniel with his own hand, “is normal around here. I won’t talk about it anymore if you don’t want to, but you didn’t have to hide it from me, and you won’t have to continue to hide it from me. Although I also know there about a million other things going on in your head you won’t talk about. This is not one of them. “
Gwen turned back to the boards and the pile Daniel had started to organize. Then she saw it. The goo. More goo. Goo Everywhere.
“Oh, this ends now!” She grabbed Daniel by the wrist and dragged him back up the stairs, forgetting the papers and the discussion. “We are finding the source before we do anything else!” Gwen was peeved, couldn’t have a single normal quiet day, could they?

It felt good to joke like this again. For awhile now things had been rather tense around the hub and everyone seemed to be in work mode. Which in return left little time for moments like this or even jokes. Seeing Gwen laughing hard caused him to smile more. "Is sex slave in my job desc. or even personal pet? Because I really wouldn't mind.. Was always interested in that life style." He said after Gwen called him pet.
He would mind wearing a collar and be treated in that way for a day or two. He reached out and took the phone back, hoping he didn't go to far. "Almost had you though" He grinned. It wasn't often that he was this relaxed that he would be open like this. But all joking was aside when Gwen started to talk serious again. "The wall wanted to be punished?" He said to Gwen's words. Thats how he was when he got anger, a wall or something else hard would get punched. "My emotions never got the best of me. Only time I hurt someone was Owen when he wouldn't stop punching me. Sure I can be passionated when it comes to my job and saving lives but that is about it." Daniel told her hoping it would ease some of the worry.
"I can't help my anger when it comes to him. My name, my honor are all on the line when it comes down to it. I can't stand by and let him ruin those things because I got his job here. For how well I am fitting in. It's not going to affect anything else." Daniel tensed up a little when she placed a hand on his shoulder and looked over at her. Then he glanced down at his bruised hand which was starting to look like it was a day old bruise. There was nothing said as he watched he look over his hand. His eyes looking away when she looked at him.
"I don't remember my past, Gwen. Those things in my file about things that happened beyond two years ago... they don't feel right or like anything I would have done. All I can remember is what has happened since I woke up from the coma." He told Gwen something he already shared with Ianto. Before he could say anything else, he had been grabbed then pulled by Gwen. Once out of the room, he looked back over at her. "We need to get a sample to see what it is and what reacts to it before we do anything crazy."
Daniel didn't want them running into whatever was causing the goo or trying to get rid of the goo with something that would only make matters worse. "Look on the computers and see if we had a live alien or being brought in. It could be something in the cells causing this." He wasn't sure but it was a safe bet to do and it would give Gwen something to tackle while he went off to get a sample of the goo.

Ianto looked up from his desk silently smirking to himself at what he had written which was a food list on things that the team hated which he would give to Daniel to shop for the team resulting in them hopefully moaning at him thus giving Ianto back his authority that the medic had stolen from him due to him finding their food a few hours before. The male grinned to himself as he saw Daniel walk away with Gwen towards the lower regions of the hub making him wonder why the two figures had walked off although gathered that they had no work to do which was the same from the tea boy so he decided to walk towards the door after a few minutes waiting to see what he could hear.
The male listened for a while and was sure that he had heard Owens voice but as soon as the voice of the old medic appeared it was gone. He shook his head to dismiss the idea as he looked down into the darkness of the lower levels, although he could see a faint light near the bottom and two figures standing. It was obviously Gwen and Daniel although he wasn’t sure what they were exactly doing making him shrug to himself.
After a few minutes the male heard both of torchwood members run back up the stairs speaking about some kind of goo making him growl in his throat before he reached for a mop that he kept near the door. As soon as he saw Gwen he smiled and handled her the mop before pointing behind her at Daniel. “You make the mess and you can clean that, I was up for hours last night” he told her unaware of what they were actually running away from as it was only a bit of goo. "No buts now"
He then smiled as he grabbed another mop which he handed to Daniel before laughing gently to himself as he thought of the expressions that they would both pull as no one in the hub liked cleaning and hardly ever of them ever did thus it was left to Ianto to sort out everything meaning that he often didn’t have to do too much paperwork. That said the male didn’t mind as that meant that he had more personal time with Daniel and Jack besides he didn’t need to worry about his paper work too much when he was shagging the boss.

Gwen stopped and turned around to look at Daniel. She took a deep breath and sighed. “You’re right. You would think I would have learned by now not to blunder into situations like that. OK, you get a vial to take a sample and I will look up the records. Something tells me though, that we aren’t going to find it there.”
She turned around only to be surprised by Ianto, who as always seemed to appear out of nowhere. She looked down at the mop he had had pushed into her hands. However, before she could say anything, Ianto had given Daniel another mop and had accused him of making the mess. She scowled. No was not the time to be taking this shit lightly.
Gwen took another look at the mop before not so gently throwing it at the wall and continuing to run up the stairs past Ianto. “No time for that now. This goo is getting on my nerves and something tells me a bit of water and Cilit Bang is not going to take care of this problem. If you really want to be useful,” she rounded to face Ianto, “you can help Daniel get samples and try not to get eaten by it or something. Oh, and no shagging down there until I have a vial or two of the stuff.” Gwen again turned to get searching on the computer database.
She came up to her computer and for a second was lost. She had no idea what to search for, but decided Daniel was right, and first turned to all the specimens brought in over the last month, to be safe. She typed in “goo” just in case it was a lot. Her area tended to be human interaction, so the amount of other beings brought in was kind of not her thing.
She tapped her fingers and waited for the computer to finish searching and looked back at the stairs, wondering what Daniel and she had gotten themselves into and only hoped that Ianto would be his useful know it all self. They really could use the extra hands. Something did not sit right with her about this.

When Daniel figured out what Ianto had done with that list, he would make the other man pay with some punishment in the bedroom. After all he wasn't trying to take Ianto's job or anything like that. All he was trying to do was lending a hand while he was out and away from the hub. There was nothing meant by it but if Ianto wanted to play that kind of game, Daniel would be more happy to play along until it got out of hand and someone else had to step in.
"Well your like most of the people around here, think after acting. I can see how quickly like that can happen around here. But maybe its time to change around and learn how to think quickly on your feet. Should always be ready no matter what is going on while keeping a cool head." He said to her, trying to offer some friendly advice. Then again Daniel was a thinker, he always had those gears turning in his mind. There was a nod of his head given to her order but before he could turn around a mop was being shoved into his chest.
His eyes blinked down at the mop then at the man who have shoved it there. Wondering what Ianto was thinking a mop would do unless this was some kind of alien mop which it looked normal. "Hey now, its not our fault the walls down there a leaking goo. It tried to kill us. It wanted to eat Gwen for breakfast. Its was like that purple slim off Ghostbusters Two." He said, making it sound worse than what it really was.
Daniel stood there just looking at Ianto as Gwen took over with explaining what was going on as well as given orderrs. "Oh come on, like I am going to shag anyone with rabid ooze coming out of the walls. Maybe that is a kink of Jack's but not mind. Though a quick shag wouldn't be bad right about now." He flashed a grin at the other male before looking back at Gwen watching as she left to go search the computers.
His blue eyes looked back at Ianto. "So shall we go see how bad the goo is down in the room or do you have something else you would rather be doing?"
