It had been almost two weeks since he last stepped foot into the Hub, last seen Jack and Ianto. Since he found out there was something up with his DNA, neither him or Ianto could explain. The mixture of alilen, human and animal genes mixed together and then something else they could not figure out. He was thankful that the other man had promised to keep everything between them and off the books but it wasn't something he could handle.
Sure he had acted fine when the results came in and said he was fine but it was an act. He had hidden that fear and confusion, pushed back the questions. He finished working on the autospy of the creature and figured out how it killed. Also managed to get enough of the poision to make a counter agent. Well couple of bottles of them before he went home from the night. Letting Ianto and Jack have their fun after all, he had Ianto in the SUV before they went back to the Hub.
The next day, he didn't show up at work and left his old sports car, a 79 Dodge Charger outside of his house. For the last two weeks, he had vanished into some nearby woods trying to clear his mind. To figure out what could have happened to him to change him like that. All the time, keeping his phone off.
Today was the first time, he turned on it but didn't listen to the stack of voicemails on there or the text messages. He knew that now Torchwood could track him with the GPS in his phone but he didn't care. Daniel sat at the bar wearing a light blue dress shirt same style as he always wore and cargo pants both were dirty and a little torn up. Daniel had had some bit of dirt on his body and his hair was flat. Shaving was something he really hadn't done in the past two weeks with the stubble across his face.
Tired eyes stared down into the beer, half waiting for Jack to storm into the bar and haul him back to Torchwood or chew him out, fire him and then retcon his memory. He wasn't sure what was going to happen now but he had a feeling Ianto would try to bail him out in the end. A deep sigh was given, not sure what to do at this point let alone think. He didn't care about the looks he was getting from the others in the bar, he was too tired and had too much on his mind.

Orion had decided to make a little pitstop on Earth, it wasn't exactly his favorite planet, but it did fuel some of his vices and he liked some of their styles. Plus you never know who you might encounter, a lot of his targets ended up on this little blue and green ball. So here he was, trekking his way through the city on a Harley Davidson motorcycle he had gotten from previous visits to Earth. It was a nice machine that he had grown quite fond of since he had got his hands on it. He drove it up to a joint that looked nice enough, parking it in the front before shutting it off and climbing off the large machine. Orion was dressed exclusively in tight black leather that clung to his extensive muscular frame as he took each calculated step. The bounty hunter entered the bar, his intense forest green eyes scanned the room while attention ventured over to the dark-haired biker who had entered their little environment. He certainly stood out with his well-built body and arms covered in tattoos as well as luscious raven locks he left loose and flowing down his broad shoulders and back.
There was an odd attractiveness about him too, an attractiveness that was only increased by the power and tight leather he worn. It was something a lot of the people in the bar picked up on and were looking at him with a mix of uneasiness and admiration. The big man settled at the bar counter not far from Daniel, his large muscle bound arms folded in front of him as he waited for the bartender to acknowledge him. Once he did he inquired what he wanted “The strongest stuff you got in this joint... none of that watered down crap you call alcohol these days..” The large man growled watching the man go to fletch his drink before moving his gaze towards Daniel briefly. He looked like hell, like he was battling his own demons with signs of their battles showing on his clothing. Orion shrugged his heavily broad shoulders as his eyes returned to the bartender who returned with a shot glass and a bottle. Instead of taking the glass, he took the bottle which he opened “Keep the glass... I'll take the bottle,” He informed him as he turned the bottle up and started chugging the contents like it was merely water. He drunk half of it in one sitting before finally setting the bottle back on the counter.

Daniel had laid his head down on the bar for a moment after pushing his drink aside. He was tired, not having slept well in the past few weeks. Feeling like was watching over his shoulder the last two weeks as if Jack was going to appear there. He knew that he shouldn't be afraid of Jack but he was worreid about what was going to happen now. Daniel trusted Ianto but knew that Jack knew what happened in the Hub better than anyone. So he knew by now either Owen had broke word to Jack or he seen the test results. He didn't want to end up in cold storage or a cell which was what was worried about but he knew had to approach Jack about what was going on.
Just as he listed his head up, he seen the biker ordering some of the strongest stuff in the bar. Daniel sighed and shook his head. The last thing he wanted to deal with some drunken biker. They were nothing but trouble and even worse when they were drunk. The man looked like he could easily break him in half like a twig. His blue eyes looked back down at the bar, thinking about Ianto and how he missed his lover, how he missed Jack too. Maybe he could find the courage and head back to Torchwood. He missed that place more than anything else, missed doing his job. Maybe Ianto could hold back Jack from ripping him into pieces.
A hand came up to rub at his tired eyes before he stood up slowly, thinking maybe some quietness and fresh air would help him to think better. He glanced around the place for a moment noticing the bike nearly chugged half of the bottle. He wasn't sure why the other man was standing out. Wasn't really his type nor did he care for another who was a heavier drunker... that was just asking for trouble. Daniel pulled out his pulled and left a tip on the bar before trying to move towards the door.

Orion, out of the corner of his eye, was observing the worn-out man as he rose to his feet and started to make his way out into the fresh air. Was he a familiar face? No, he didn't know him nor was he a wanted man who could make him some money. However, his scent held his curiosity. It was rather clear by the very subtle difference in scent to the other humans around him that this stranger wasn't your run-of-the-mill human. Daniel was unique. He was done with the bottle and not particularly thrilled with his dull surroundings, he decided to follow the man's example and depart out the door. Of course he stopped to pay his own bill before heading towards the same direction.
The Q'ulanian reached out to push the door open for the troubled medic, allowing him to exit first. It was an oddly gentleman gesture for the big dark-haired alien who tended to be rather boorish to those around him. The muscle-bound extraterrestrial's intense green eyes peered down at the smaller male, his strangely striking face framed with loose dark locks. A slight hint of a smirk claimed his lips while he watched Daniel and waited for him to go through the open door. The hulking beast of a man said nothing as he held the door then once Daniel had passed through he followed, the door closing behind him. He stood out there on the sidewalk, carefully lighting up a cigarette which seemed dwarfed by the size of his hand. Orion took a drag before finally speaking to Daniel, only to offer him a cigarette “You look like you could use a cigarette...” His growl-like voice replied, offering him the pack.

At this point, Daniel wanted fresh air then maybe find a safe place to crash. Maybe those things would help him get up the courage he was looking for. A huge part of him felt bad for leaving Torchwood, for not saying anything to the two men he cared about deeply. He had the file on what was his own past but he had been too scared to open it. He didn't want to face what was in that file. His eyes looked up when that large man from the bar stood there in front o him with the door being held open. Daniel blinked up at the large man wondering how long he had been lost in his thoughts and when could a man of the size move that fast.. maybe he had been standing there for a while?
He wasn't sure anymore, his sleep deprived body wasn't running like it should be. He wasn't thinking straight and found himself not keeping up with things around him. Something was off about that large man and he couldn't put his fingers on it. He felt uneasy about being next to the large man and wishing he had a weapon of sorts. Daniel moved out from the door and ended up tucking his hands into his pockets as the cool night air hit him. Already missing the warmth of the bar. It was shrugged off as he started to walk down the street but before he got too far, the man spoke up with a deep growl like a voice. His own body turned quickly and he looked back at the man who was holding out a small box. A shake of his head was given. "No thanks, don't smoke." He said before turning back around.
Daniel stood there for a moment looking around and wondering which was to head. His flat was too risky to go back to and he was running low on cash so it didn't have many choices left to what he could do. A hand came up and rubbed at his eyes before he started to slowly walk down the street, not moving all that fast.

Orion watched Daniel from a far as he smoked silently on his cigarette outside the pub. The man seemed to him to be rather anxious and somewhat distressed, but he couldn't quite pen point what had the man in such a state. He shrugged his heavily broad shoulders as he finished the cigarette, throwing it on the ground before rubbing it out with the tip of his thick combat boots. The towering alien made his way over to his motorcycle, a large monstrous machine that fit well with the intimidating bounty hunter. He started up the machine, the engine coming alive with a loud roar that filled the cool night air. Carefully he eased it into the road and started rolling along, rolling up along side Daniel who was slowly walking down the street.
He didn't know why, but he had this urge to go after the man and help him. It was a rare thing for Orion to feel anything for anyone save for himself, but he was capable. After all he had spend time with his fellow bounty hunters for many years, even having a relationship with the one who had saved him so long ago. Maybe he was thinking of the time when that hunter had found him in his lowest point and wanted to return the kind favor towards Daniel. “Hey! You need a ride? You look like you got a lot on your mind... thought I might offer to get you home safe,” The Q'ulanian offered, already feeling a little ashamed at himself for allowing himself to feel anything in the way of kindness. But he reminded himself that it was just Q'ulanian tradition, so he let the offer stand. “Don't worry I ain't going to take advantage of you...” He added, figuring that Daniel would think he wanted something from him.

Daniel couldn't help the state he was in, anyone in his shoes would feel the same. It was all thanks to one man who had put that fear into him. How Owen made Daniel feel like what he was, was wrong and that he shouldn't be free. With the way Owen was sneaking around and acting around him, he knew that Owen was up to something, anything to get him fired from Torchwood. Then again, it wasn't like one could be fired from Torchwood. He had never been all that good at hidding his emotions when he was worried or scared. Though apart of him was glad to be out in the open and away from everyone, mostly away from that large man who looked like he could rip him in half.
His head turned slightly when he heard the loud rumble of the motorcycle. Figured leave it to a man looking like that to have a huge bike. He never understood why men needed to have large and loud toys. His personal car was an old rust bucket that he was working on restoring, only because he wanted to feel proud about his car. He didn't care for flashy things or the lastest product on the market. Motorcycles were not something he was fond of after all the crashes it had seen and the result of them. Daniel had lost count of the number and how many lives were lost because of those crashes. His hands came up to pull the collar of his shirt off before tucking his hands into his pocket.
It was another chilly night out and he wished he had a jacket with him or money to buy one. Going home for a change of clothes or even to get something warm was not something he was willing to do at the moment. He wasn't sure what would happen if he went home. Then again, he knew Jack had eyes all over the city. Daniel jumped slightly when he heard the 'Hey!' His head turned quickly to look over at the large man. His eyes glance between the man and the bike. Then moved to shake his head, not having his weapon with him made him more careful. "Its okay, feel like walking.. Don't have anywhere to go anyways." Daniel shrugged his shoulders a little. Knowing he had two places he could go but he was not ready to face Jack yet even though he missed both Ianto and Jack more than he could ever say.
"Nice looking back though..." He added, shivering a little. Daniel's eyes looked up when he heard what the large man had said next. A nervous chuckle was given. "Not worried about that, besides not really the kind of thing, my partner would forgive." He stopped himself from saying partners.. He knew how selfish Jack could be when it came down to it and Ianto seemed to be the same way. Daniel pushed back those thoughts and looked around slowly, trying to think of other things at the moment.

“Your partner must be a tough fella to tangle with a boy like me. Good. Tough and strong way you need to go,” Orion commented as a smirk slowly claimed his lips, turning them up slightly at one side. “But it figures, guy like you be taken... got to admit I'm a little jealous...” The alien picked with Daniel, openly expressing some interest in the troubled medic. Being subtle was definitely not the big guy's specialty. He was as subtle as a hole in the head. If he had let the more Q'ulanian thinking take hold, Daniel would probably be spirited away in a style more suited of a caveman, but Orion let the less beastly part of his nature keep hold as he leaned back on his seat, his striking green eyes fixed on Daniel.
“One thing I'm asking myself is why is a taken guy like you walking around the city without anyplace to be...without that partner of yours...” He commented with that hint of a wily smirk toying with his lips. “I know... I know it ain't none of my business.” The alien said before Daniel had the chance to tell him to mind his own business. He took sudden notice that the man was shivering, he figured it wasn't nervousness that made him shake like he did. Orion dropped any humor from his features, taking on a more serious expression “You look cold there...” The bounty hunter remarked as he peered out from the strands of long raven tresses. “Come on... its too chilly to be walking … get on take you where ever you need to go...” Orion suggested with that implacable look upon his rugged yet strangely good-looking face.

Jack and Ianto were not truly his partners but it sounded better than I am sleepying with my boss and his boyfriend. The comment the tall man said told Daniel what he wanted to know and that was this man before him was interested in him.
He wasn't sure what it was about him that had everyone interested in him... Whether it was for a shag or just try and kill him. Then there was Owen who was trying to find a way to get him kicked out of Torchwood.. "Yeah, I guess so" Is all that he could think of to say to the comment.
Daniel was a bit more nervous when he seen the smirk on the other's face. He swallowed hard and looked around slowly. "Nothing special about me. Just another guy who doesn't have much." He told the other hoping it would change the tall man's mind about wanting him. Daniel wasn't in the mood for trouble or even having to fight with someone to leave him alone.
The was the first time, he thought he might have to deal with someone who couldn't take no for an answer. That was something he wasn't sure what to make of.
At first he didn't say anything about what the man had to say next. The tall man was right when he said it was none of his business. "Things are not the best between us right now, is all." It was part of the truth. Daniel wasn't sure what was going on back at the Hub or what Jack was going to do when he would go back.
When the more serious expression was given, Daniel took a step back. Becoming a bit more worried and nervous not sure what was going to happen next. A shake of his head was given as he glanced around again wishing he had a weapon. "Thats okay, have no where to go or be."

Orion frowned at Daniel as it became quite clear the guy was scared of him, it was both a pleasure and a curse for him to be as scary as he was to others. It was one of the reason he hadn't had many lovers and friends outside of the Q'ulanian people. The bounty hunter was nearly seven feet tall, a good three hundred pounds, covered in tattoos and a personality that bordered between nasty to brash. Most people just didn't find those qualities appealing. It was evident to him that the medic didn't really want anything to do with him. “Well guess you and me got something in common... ain't really got much place to go either...” The big guy admitted with a sigh as he leaned back on the motorcycle, resting his hands on the handlebars.
“Know a nice place to crash around here? Think I might stick around here bit longer... Heard there might be a few bounties out this way in the universe.” Orion inquired of the human, barely concealing the fact that he wasn't a human being. “Promise I ain't going to hurt you... here...” He leaned back a minute to reach down against his leg, drawing out what looked like a wicked dagger with intriguing designs carved into the hilt which he threw to Daniel “Might give you a little security...” He told him with a slight smile “Nobody should be weapon-less I like to say...”
